Linksys Solutions
Covergence and Linksys®, a division of Cisco Systems, Inc., have teamed together to create solutions that allow service providers to deliver VoIP services with quality, reliability and security that is as good or better than the PSTN service.
Security
The combined solution enables providers to now offer fully encrypted, validated and authenticated subscriber connections using the IETF standards, Transport Layer Security (TLS) for signaling information and its counterpart the Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) for voice and video traffic. The combined solution:
- Prevents service theft.
- Mitigates intrusions and unauthorized access.
- Prevents attacks aimed at disrupting or disabling the service.
- Protects users from eavesdropping and other attacks that threaten their confidentiality and the integrity of their sessions.
- Enforces uniform security policy across all your SIP services.
- Immediately notifies of any out-of-band activity.
- Dynamically controls out-of-band activity (e.g. terminate call).
