| SBC Feature |
Description |
| Policy Definition and Enforcement |
Administrators can define powerful, fine-grained control policies on a per-session basis. Policies can be defined locally via native management interfaces (CLI, GUI, etc.), pulled from standard AAA systems (RADIUS, Diameter, etc.) or pushed dynamically onto Eclipse from external applications via web services interfaces (SOAP, WSDL, etc.). |
| Single Sign-on |
Integrates with installed provisioning and directory systems, using standards such as LDAP, to enable policy definition and enforcement on individual users or groups that share certain attributes (department, organizational level, functional role, etc) to enable single sign-on for all real-time services |
| Management Interfaces |
Eclipse management interfaces include a command line interface (CLI), a java-based graphical user interface (GUI), a web-based user interface and a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) interface |
| Web Services Interface |
Dynamically control SIP-based applications and services from business applications using standard web services protocols such as SOAP and WSDL. Makes SIP-based applications and services "programmable" from business applications. Enables enterprises and service providers to create profitable new real-time applications and services by tying their business and service applications together |
| Session Tracing |
Displays detailed session trace information in graphical or textual format. Eclipse enables administrators to view detailed session information for problem diagnosis and resolution. |
| QOS Detail Recording |
Creates quality of service (QOS) records for media sessions that traverse the CXC. Enables organizations to monitor, record and track quality of service (QOS) performance for network engineering, capacity planning and troubleshooting purposes. |
| Instant Message Recording |
Records the content of instant messaging (text chat) sessions under policy based control. Enables organizations to demonstrate compliance with internal policies and external regulations pertaining to the monitoring and recording of electronic communications. |
| Voice and Video Recording |
Records the content of audio and video sessions on a policy controlled basis. Enables organizations to demonstrate compliance with internal policies and external regulations pertaining to the monitoring and recording of electronic communications. |
| Event Logging and Alerting |
Creates log entries and/or management alerts in response to system-defined and administratively-defined events for attack detection, problem resolution, situational awareness and forensic analysis. |
